The ‘trunk’ is quite obviously a man, Hyde to be exact. Back in the old days when rockers had long, flowing hair. Drawn from a photo of him singing live. Then I looked at the way his right hand was ‘covering’ his eyes as if the sun was too bright, and the way his slim body twisted, and thought of that woman-turns-into tree myth.
Jumping girl.

Pen/Ink and Pencil (complete) 1:21 pm
Apparently I was supposed to be trying a more fauvist style…it was unsucessful. Me and colour pencils is a no-no. But it was pretty fun. This (attempted) style brings out his flamboyancy. And ooh, look at his figure, waist, hip and everything. Yay for Bowie. Is there life on Mars~~?!?!

Must be one of the last most detailed work I’ve ever done and will ever do in the near future. Killa. For the record, I’m no good with cross-hatching. No patience => lots of mistakes => awful => please don’t make me do it.
